We are currently sourcing candidates for a Shipper at our Euclid, OH facility. This person will be responsible for receiving, processing, moving, storing, and staging materials, equipment and supplies. Additionally, this person will provide logistic support, coordinate, inspect, process, pack and ship customer orders, materials and supplies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Receive incoming materials, equipment and supplies. Unload trucks, count, measure, check condition, etc. of incoming materials.
  • Verify packing slip quantities match received quantities and forward paperwork as required. Notify supervision of damage or discrepancies in packing slip and purchase order. Move receipts to staging areas.
  • Route and contact common carriers, UPS, freight forwarders, expedited services, cartage companies and customers regarding shipping and delivery. Use company vehicle to deliver local orders. Comply with applicable DOT regulations.  Work with sales, customer service, carriers and customers to track lost shipments and process loss claims.
  • Operate lift truck when moving items and when loading and unloading trucks. Use care to lift and balance loads properly. Operate equipment in safe manner.
  • Work from packing lists, purchase orders, regulatory and customer specifications and other written and verbal instructions.
  • Prepare released items and paperwork for national and international shipping process. Prepare and use bills of lading, commercial invoices, security endorsements, certificates of origin, shippers letter of instructions, letters of credits, etc., then data enter information for invoicing.
  • Reconcile international paperwork for compliance audits
  • Partaking in internal and quality audits.
  • Use saws, cranes, pneumatic tools, hand tools, packaging equipment, vacuum sealers, vacuum lifts, tow-motors, etc., to construct and label proper shipping containers according to customer, 49 CFR hazardous material regulations, export administration regulations, international and other requirements.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • One to two years of previous work experience
  • Requires a High School Diploma, or equivalent. 
  • Forklift certified
  • Basic math and clerical duties are required to perform the necessary job functions along with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. 
  • Strong computer skills are needed.
  • Business needs and trade compliance requirements mandate that this position be held by a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.
